Holy cow! Anyone seen this yet. Same crew, new work. My housemate picked up the first DVD, it looks like the full season is going to become available. If you haven't yet, grab some vidi soon:

Re: Samurai Champloo
Wed, March 16, 2005 - 4:54 PMIt is an excellent series. I have been watching it via fansubs at anime-kraze.org (excellent translations) and animeforever.org (good translations, excellent background info)
The music for the series is great, and the storyline has been fun to watch. Different than Bebop, but similar in some ways.
Anime-Kraze did a translation of Paranoia Agent I compared to the full DVD version, and frankly it was BETTER than the DVD. Go figure.
The show is still being broadcast in Japan, and they're almost done with the first season. It will most likely end up going to 2 seasons. -

Re: Samurai Champloo
Fri, March 18, 2005 - 5:07 PM2 seasons worth, awesome. And I'll relay those release dates to my housemate who beat me to the punch buying the dvd's.
'Just thinking: Wouldn't it be great if a second season of Bebop started being aired...oh man. -

Re: Samurai Champloo
Tue, March 22, 2005 - 2:16 PMWait... What?
How would that happen? Did you see the end of the series?
The only possability that I could see is if they based it around when Spike was in the Sindicate. Just a thought, not trying to destroy your dream!

Re: Samurai Champloo
Tue, May 10, 2005 - 1:16 PMJust watched the first two discs of Samurai Champloo. It wasn't Cowboy Bebop, but it was very good. I really liked the hip-hop culture influence that they are slipping in. Very interesting.

Re: Samurai Champloo
Sun, May 15, 2005 - 1:30 PMSounds like Cowboy Bebop! I don't know how many times Spike complained about never getting to eat meat!
"Jet, have you ever heard of protein?" -
